Chima & Vanessa

Our Story

In 2014, Vanessa visited a psychic who told her the man she would marry was born in a different country, but she would meet him here in the states. She said he would be a Capricorn; claimed when they met he would be working in healthcare; and that he would be thirty-one years old.

Two years later, in a dark Capitol Hill bar in Seattle their eyes met. Chima was born in Nigeria, a Capricorn, he was thirty-one when they met, and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Vanessa comes from a lineage of curanderas, considered spiritual healers in Latin American culture. She brings together diverse aspects of healing to help people lead more fulfilling lives, seeking to treat the whole person — mind, body and soul. In addition to reading tarot, Vanessa is a mental health therapist and specializes in trauma and couples therapy.

Chimaroke, whose name means God knows the future, has been slowly studying astrology for many years, helping him understand the greater impact the universe has on how we are shaped as individuals.

Chima has spent much of his life on stage, performing as a vocalist where he feels the most free. He also works as a nurse and welcomes the ways music and nursing allow him to be a creative healer.
